Detailed CV:

During more than a decade with a large pharmaceutical company, Gilly worked and developed SMART objectives (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely) with key customers, employing strategic management and negotiation skills. She believes that the key to success in business is a well-constructed client value proposition and developing relationships to support and test this model. ‘If you have clarity, you don't need certainty’ is a motto which has helped her grow and take risks, alongside US President Calvin Coolidge's famous saying, ‘Press On’.

Gilly admires people involved in small business - the backbone of Australia - and wants to help them face their challenges. She has faced her own throughout her business life, and learned from the intimacy of small business about the need to bridge the silos in corporate life. Gilly recently updated her skills by becoming a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which helps her simplify issues for small business owners into practical areas such as understanding financial health, business planning and the importance of internal and external relationships. She also volunteers with professional bodies, counselling services, advisory boards and community organisations.
