John Groarke

In summary I am a mentor to services-oriented enterprises and early stage start-ups.

Please refer to my LinkedIn profile for an always up-to-date overview - https://www.linkedin.com/in/johngroarke/.

In 2005, I decided to also pursue a ‘giving back’ strategy and I dedicate as much pro-bono time as I can to the support of small businesses. In particular; NSW Enterprise Workshop (closed), Women in Film and Television NSW, and now SBMS. I also mentor on these four initiatives:

#1 | CSIRO ON Prime - an entry level, part-time pre-accelerator that helps research teams validate their research and discover a real world application for it

#2 | Practera for Educators - Global Scope - Business Project Program - where small teams of multi-disciplinary international and domestic undergraduates from Western Sydney University and The University of Sydney work on a real-life business project for a local public or private sector enterprise

#3 | The University of Sydney Business School - Genesis Program - where the most promising start-ups from The University of Sydney's alumni, students and staff community are mentored to accelerate their commercial and social enterprises

#4 | INTERCHANGE - a virtual employability & entrepreneurship challenge designed to build the employability and resilience of university students.

I know that I can make a positive and valuable difference to service-oriented businesses, as well as any product business keen to introduce or improve services and/or solutions.
